Elizaveta Osetinskaia is an award-winning editor and media entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in Russian newsrooms. She founded two Russian/English language media start-ups: theBell.io and video project “Russians are Okay!” that tells stories of the Russian speaking entrepreneurs achieved a global success.
Earlier in her career, Osetinskaia was chief editor of RBC Media Holding, Russia’s leading, privately-owned media company. She also served as editor-in-chief of Forbes Russia. In 1999 she joined Vedomosti, which began as a joint venture between the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. She started as a correspondent, then became the energy and industry editor and ultimately editor-in-chief. In 2016/2017 Elizaveta was named a fellow in the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship Program at Stanford University. Since 2017 till now she is a fellow at UC Berkeley School of Journalism.
