Andrey Panov is a partner in Bain & Company's Moscow office. He is a member of the firm's Airlines & Transportation, Digital and Education practices.
He has about 10 years of experience in strategic consulting, with a strong track record of advising leading Russian banks, transportation companies and noncommercial educational organizations.
His recent casework has covered a customer loyalty program for a major Russian railway company, a branch network optimization program for a major transportation company, a strategy and business plan for a new airline, a digital transformation and IT strategy for a major European airline, a business profitability program for a transportation company, and back-office restructuring, centralization and operating model development for a major Russian bank. In his client engagements, he has been responsible for both the development and implementation of programs.
Prior to joining Bain, Andrey was a chief editor of the leading Russian business daily Vedomosti's finance section. He later served as a deputy chief editor of its web portal, vedomosti.ru. He has authored a series of publications in Vedomosti covering financial matters, aviation and education. He is also the author of the authors of the recently released report “The State of the Schools in 20 Major Cities, 2018” (September). Andrey graduated from Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University (PhD) and earned his MBA from INSEAD Business School in France.
