Alexander N. Gorban holds a personal chair in Applied Mathematics at the University of Leicester since 2004. He worked for Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch (Krasnoyarsk), and ETH Zürich, was a visiting professor and research scholar at Clay Mathematics Institute, IHES, Courant Institute, and Isaac Newton Institute. His main research interests are dynamics of systems of physical, chemical and biological kinetics; artificial intelligence; data mining; and model reduction problems.
