Alexander graduated from the Faculty of Law at Speransky Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, with a ”Political lawyer” degree. He has an MBA degree with specialization in international business development, venture capital (Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto).

Alexander has multiple experience of launching Russian and foreign projects. He is aware of all trends in educational market, and in particular online education, abroad and in Russia. The ideologist and co-founder of a number of Internet projects, among which are Grammarly.com, a service that allows checking the text for literacy and authenticity; MyDropBox.Com, a plagiarism recognition system. This product was successfully sold to the American company Blackboard in 2007. Under the leadership of Alexander in December 2015 UNIWEB became the laureate of the professional recognition award of the Pushkin Institute for his contribution to the promotion of the Russian language.
