James Patava has worked for over a decade in senior leadership positions at progressive NGOs and not-for-profits in both North America and Europe. With a decidedly global focus, his current role at the Toronto-based Global Cities Institute at the University of Toronto places him in almost daily contact with some of the most sustainable, smart, resilient, prosperous and inclusive cities from around the world. His work also helps to showcase the fundamental and transformative nature of city data in furthering the smart city agenda. He is a passionate public affairs professional with a keen understanding of the global nuances of story-telling and stakeholder outreach. James was educated at McGill University in Montreal.
