Technologies for creating durable and sustainable urban space
OBNINSK HALL, October 16 14:30 — 17:00
Technological innovations are radically transforming approaches to urban development: there are new tools for planning the layout of urban spaces and for city planning and construction, new materials are available, and requirements relating to deadlines and methods used in the construction of urban facilities are changing, as are the ways in which the buildings are then used. In today’s world, the technical solutions underlying urban development projects need to be as precise and time-effective as possible, and should protect - and extend - the integrated sustainability of the urban environment. The future lies in integrating the opportunities of geoinformation systems (GIS), building information modelling (BIM) and the Internet of things (IoT).

- Over the next decade, what will cities’ needs be in terms of design digitization technologies, and the construction and operation of capital construction facilities?
